I donated 1/3 of my apt, threw away 1/3 and moved the other 1/3 when I moved this summer. I soooooo understand. It's so much work. We should remember that as we're collecting all that stuff right? [8D]

i was going through some boxes that i moved several times without opening.  One has a note that it was packed in 1999.  That was when my youngest left home to go into the Army.  i found her Future Farmer's jacket and her TaiKwanDo uniform, among other clothes and "stuff".  She was always going to come back to get her boxes.  Over the years i have taken boxes to her and this one got overlooked.

I think that's the biggest thing holding me back from actually proceeding with putting my house on the market and joining my hubby in the UK...17 rooms of stuff, two storage units, and a garage full of STUFF!

And that's after losing 3 storage units and selling stuff for the last 6 years!

Next time, I'm going Zen.

Why is it we all must have so much STUFF???  I've cut my "stuff" way down to bare minimum and stop myself everytime I think of buying more stuff. How long can I resist? [8|] I'm getting weak!

Part of it is the Ums that grow up and leave stuff to be claimed later.  By the time later comes they are no longer interested in the things that were important to them in high school.
