::: SIGH ::: All this back-n-forth about "winning"..... let's see if I can distract y'all... maybe get a thud or swoon.... Lance shares a great French Toast recipe - invented by a certain Chef I know. First, you need some artisian bread - white chocolate bread made with lemon and mint in the batter. The dipping batter - usual eggs and cream - but this one has REAL maple syrup in it. Served with a dessert sauce - Brandied Apple. Okay, okay, you want it better, I'll make it better.... For my 60th B'Day present from self-same Chef, I had a private dinner. He cooked and then served us both. It was like being King-for-a-day! The dessert was French Toast as above, still warm with a scoop of vanilla-bean ice-cream and the same Brandied Apple dessert sauce on top of the ice-cream...... All together now..... swoon!!! And while y'all are doing that, I grab the WIN and hide it again - back in the spice market stall.
