Is it just me, or does anyone else find it hard to look at a computer screen and come up with a witty but not wordy summary of who they are?

In the off-line world I express myself confidently, using tone of voice, body language and wardrobe to accent my words.  Here there are only words, and I suffer the common Canadian affliction of writing with passive phrasing, thus giving completely the wrong impression.  (I am working to correct that.)

That said, here I am, exploring the wonders of the web in hopes of finding someone to share my darker urges with in the "real world." Someone once named Nova Scotia as "Nova Scarcity" and when it comes to finding people interested in BDSM, truer words were never spoken. I've been involved in  BDSM for many years now, gaining a great deal of experience in some facets while sadly lacking in others due to a dearth of willing partners.  It's long since time to change that.  So far the options seem to be A. leave the province or B. import a sub/slave.  Maybe by searching online I might find we have some hidden treasures here.

Whatever comes of this, I will forever remember the wise words of a kitten here about dealing with undesirables:
Invoke the Great Goddess Ignora via the Blessed Block Feature.

Voila!

When one small paragraph with the right words is enough, then why would one need to go in for long stories describing oneself? The words used in the paragraph quoted here are enough to create a visual impression in the mind of the reader, of who You are in real.

The natural 'next step' then becomes to visit the profile, which is what i did too! It's a nice profile and we look forward to the pictures.

Welcome to Collarme!

Lady DominaX,
i think You have certainly overcome Your concerns about introduction via posting words.  Your intro is very well done and Your profile is magnificent.  Your chosen ones are lucky indeed to have such an understanding and strict Domme.  i think You have overcome any Canadian tendencies toward passive speech.
         humbly,

LadyDominaX,

First, I would like to welcome you to the CM Forums.

An introduction does not have to be lengthy or whitty, but is only a way of saying hello to those of us who are here.  We are all people with varying degrees of writing skills, along with those who do not  even choose to participate in the forums, or those who do not even read any of the postings.  And often one's ability to write far exceeds their willingness to open their minds and their hearts in the communal spirit of sharing those experiences and ideas with the rest of us.  Our commonality of purpose is what binds those of us who are here closer together, and without regard to how polished our presentation is.

I sincerely hope that my explanation will encourage you to participate without reservation.
