MasDom -> Range your level.. (5/19/2007 10:27:08 AM)

A warning to newbies, Some experiences are best left in the caring hands of those who know what their doing.
Theirs nothing wrong with asking these people whats safe and what may have its complications.
But since every one gets distant in the life style you may find yourself a little vacant of that experience.

So here is a little list of tid bits experienced people can leave so you have something to work with....

MasDom -> RE: Range your level.. (5/19/2007 11:11:27 AM)

A few things I know myself...

Not all wax is created equall....
Paraffin and bee's wax has a nice low temperature.
Since it doesn't have to much free oil content,
it doesn't hold its heat for longer then needed.

So for a close up erotic experience I suggest always starting with these simple and pure forms of wax...

Leave any candles you may find in an erotic sex shop for later after you've experimented with some of the simple store bought candles..
Because these candles some times are mixed with oils for the extra sensation caused by the slightly scalding oil.
To be honest most newbies aren't ready for this,
And most masochist wannabees really don't know just how far
things may go when it comes to pain....Damage...

These chemical or oil based candles will indeed causes some damage.
Maybe even burn or scald you...
The ones at the sex shop not really any better.
I would call them mid level for the people who have grown a little more wanting in the pain department..

So its just a simple rule...
Start with what every one knows..
Just typical wax, and don't be afraid to openly ask your partner how she or he is enjoying it.

I,m sure since your just starting out as a couple
theirs an understanding that until your more assured of what they can handle, your going to take it slow.

Now as for you little slaves out thier...
If I warn you your not ready for something.....

If I have to stand up on the bed holding the candle to the sealing,  just because you cant take the pain.
Or your afraid of being burned...

Then trust me and just let me buy a simple, and safer candle.
  Laughs as he reminisces.

Also needle play has certain locations that are unsafe.
A few spots I know of are the small of the back,
If your going straight in...
The inner thigh as well for the same reasons.
over the pelvis for woman and men...
and on the front of the neck, and wrists...

So basically if it can be punctured or stabbed.
If it could overly bleed and kill you...
Just stay away from it.
You'll notice even the people doing suspension have specific locations for piercing the muscle.

But thats all obvious isn't it...

A few warning for newbies...
Start with small objects that are smooth and soft for anal.
Their is always a possibility of damage involved..
And its always wise to work your way up in things.

If your getting into cutting,
you should always start with little scratches in the top dermal layer of skin.
They will still enjoy it and bleed.
But like anal, one must always start small...

Electrical play should always be learned from those already doing it...
I shouldn't have to warn you the complications of heart murmurs, Electrocution, serious burns or anything that may be associated with this type of play...

The devices used and every thing involved is specifically for the safety, and desired outcomes.

Some times putting water over a person could be a good thing-- forcing the shock to even out, And at other times it could be fatal...

--((So in this play always seek those who have that much needed experience.))---

And if your going to begin toying with it regardless.
I suggest two sticky pads from the hospital and a D volt rite on her pussy lips..

Use the wire ((on the connector)) to cause small shocks then take it back off.

prolonged shocks f certain kinds may cause burning at the leads..
All toys made for deeper shock are Field based.
Meaning almost like a static charge meant to discharge into the body, or surrounding flesh..
These few objects should always be made by those with the correct applicatable knowledge..

As for suffocation play...
    it can always go wrong...
But my methods are from experience since I always end up with girls who enjoy it..
God forbid I ever end up killing one of them..

For longer suffocations use something like a thin cloth that has a lot of holes in it... maybe a pillow that you cold really breath through... satiny looking but really just hole filled thread with a lot of normal cotton in it.
Now their are a few rules to how this is done..

And newbies should never risk this...
This is one of those fetishes that most certainly will go bad eventually if not the first time...

The rules are simple though..
((-Its play not real.....I cant stress this enough...-))
You don't have to really add force, or actually throttle them.
Most of these people involved are willing enough to act like they cant really breath...
Any given force however will actually kill them...

The pillow can be breathed through as if its not even their.
However if you compress the cotton in any way it becomes and actual suffocating device...
So you never push down really....
Thats a horrible mistake to make...
Another is actually throttling their throats.

A garret or something around the neck
will actually compress, and even damage the wind pipe.
A small force like with the pillow is to much.
if they want it bad enough, like before they just play along.

Needing only enough force on the throat to feel like something is being done to them..

And like the pillow their is no way to tell how much is to much.
I suggest never getting into this..
However for some woman or men watching horror movies.
Well theirs a big draw to it...Its an emotional thing.

Now I don't have to tell you you should watch them and figure out when their actually suffocating.
Be wary of the items used tightening on their own or things like that...
But if you have to do it...
    You've been warned,
And I like the rest suggest just play at first.
Role play the even, and nothing more...

Because your going to learn that their are a lot of weird things like this along the way.
Rape fantasy, Hypnosis, breath play, you name it.

And well think of it like a meat grinder.
Some times your the big chunk that makes it through.
But really most of the time your the piece that gets chewed up.
Mistakes can kill in all this..permanently scar.
A simple thing like an oil candle can leave Burns that will last for life...

So talk around and if you have to do one of these.
Learn to respect its real nature...

And theirs nothing wrong with being a little lame the first time.
Don't be pushed to make all your sexual acts emotionally perfect.
Have to play the perfect Dom so she doesnt question you.

Some times the greatest satisfaction you can give some one is being honest, and showing concern..

OK well...
Hope that helps.

I request all those people out their who have stories, or experience like this to post it here..
    best regards Ken...

NakedGirlScout -> RE: Range your level.. (5/19/2007 11:17:22 AM)

I truly don't understand the point of this thread. Is it a free-for-all to give random advice on any topic for general benefit?

MasDom -> RE: Range your level.. (5/19/2007 11:21:32 AM)

Well passion.
You know how the trend can be.

Some one doesn't read threw the years, and years of posts before they start one of their own.
Thought that would be forgivable though...

I mean are we to stifle ever one created after the first?...
Nah...
Now enough of this coffee house mentality.
Getting kinda tired of people egotistically going off on everything they feel out of place on this site...

This is a place for people to relax and be real...
Lets not ruin it for them...

I mean its not like you have to worry about being judged on everything you post...
If that were true who would be realistic any more?
Not twist their words around so people find them attractive..

"Oh wait"....--Nyah--......

I,m leaving this post up.
Take it serious if you like, But i,m not dealing with any more ego's butting in...

[:D]I,m to content inside to care rite now..
However as for lucky albatross up their...
I,m thankful for the list, because it just helps people.

Now if some one comes through and wants to look through all the advice given out, they can quick reference all that.
Instead of pain stakingly hunting it down them selves.

If this is the wrong section for it though.
I,m a little out of it so my bad...

Kisses...

"There is nothing good or bad in this world, but thinking makes it so."
WILLIAM SHAKESPEARE

Here we go again with those labels, this time 'newbie'.

So how can a newbie be expected to range their level if they don't have any experience or knowledge? Okay, so some people are beginners, so where do they become intermediate and at what point do they really become advanced?

People come into BDSM with life experience, the rest comes with intelligence, thinking and communication. If you can use a computer, browse the Internet and do something intelligent with your time it's enough.

True it can be pretty daunting the first time you tie someone up or the first few times you pick up a whip or cane but with a bit of practice you soon get the hang of it.

Experience and age doesn't bear any relation to someone being an idiot. Idiots are popular in the human race, God loves them, they reassure the rest of us that we're intelligent.

Remember there are really only two things which are truly infinite - the Universe and stupidity.

A lot of what you are talking about here is way beyond newbie level and although I know you mean well, I feel I need to contradict some of the things you have said.

Not so. Pure paraffin wax candles melt at around 115*f . Soy wax melts at around 120*f but beeswax melts at around 145*f and can cause serious burns.

Look Im really sorry but I only got half way through your post and was not sure if I should laugh or cry.

You started of light with a bit of wax play and then moved on to the most edgy stuff. You keep saying only do this with an expert but if its an expert that is doing it then why would they need telling how its done? A lot of the info is wrong and the other info is very half hearted

A little bit of knowledge is a dangerous thing.

Archer -> RE: Range your level.. (5/19/2007 1:14:00 PM)

Wow rather than giving out a little tiny fraction of the information needed for safer play in a wide variety of technique why not just leave it at: "There are forms of play that can cause real damage, injury or even death if done improperly. Make sre you you even as a bottom learn the basics of safety in any technique you want to experience so that you know if the person you are thinking of "playing with" at least has the basic idea.

Those little snippets of information are enough to make someone dangerously informed.

Classes and topic specific articles are available all over the place for almost every topic under the BDSM sun.
Newbies get yourself educated, if you're a top so you can be safe, if you're a bottom so you can better evaluate potential partners.

Screw the Roses, Give Me the Thorns,  The New Topping Book, a handful of people I know for a fact to have experience, and personal experience with the candles themselves all make me say bee's wax has a very high melting point and should be avoided.

This is a prime example why, if you are REALLY concerned with safety, you shouldnt learn about things from some random Internet Dom making claims to experience with a fluffy writing style and offering tidbits of safety advice without any real credit.

Its about the same as going to someone who just claims to be a doctor without any real proof of having a degree or education and taking advice regarding your own personal health.

If your basing your safety lessons solely on what this guy says or any of us on this forum, then your an idiot.

Since wax play is one of my favorite things and something that I actually have proficient experience and knowledge with, I can safely make the opinion that it takes a real ignorant incompentat jackass to cause any real kind of injury with wax play.

One hour of reasearch from real accredited sources besides anonymous Doms trolling for chicks on Internet forums, careful selection in candles, actually taking the time to test the candles on myself first, and I someone managed to do a wax play scene with no experience and no mentoring without causing anything more than some slight mild reddening on the skin.

I prefer a bag of undyed, unscented parafin tealight candles from Walmart. 2 bucks and you get like 40 of them. The container allows you to control the wax better and they burn at such a low tempature that I have dropped wax a few inches from the skin without a burn, scald, or blister.

But...dont take my word for it. What the hell do you know about me really? Get off your ass and do some real reasearch if you really care about safety.

All you white Doms coming here to preach safety information annoy the hell out of me because you have no perspective on just how taking safety information from you in a source like this is actually the real danger.
