People saying that training academies are a waste of time i'd quite frankly have to agree with. Every Dom and every relationship is different, it's like saying you gotta go to a special school to learn how to fall in love and that is just silly. A true submissive only needs to have that innate desire to please thier Dom and a willingness to learn. I can only think that these "academies" do more damage then good, and be a source of discouragement for any D/s relationship that might take place afterwards.
Let's put it this way, if i was to take on a slave that had been at an academy and learned thier way of serving and this slave had come to rely on that academies training to make her confident in her abilities to serve me. You can only imagine the damage it would do to the slaves self esteem if suddenly i start telling her that she is doing everything all wrong, and that in turn would make my job of training her to serve me that much harder. I'd much rather take on a completely inexperienced but willing submissive that knows absolutely nothing about BDSM and mold her into my perfect slave then to clean up the mess that someone else made of what would have otherwise been a perfectly good sub.
To the original poster, forget the academy, find yourself a Dom that is willing to take you on and let him/her train you to properly serve them don't waste your time and money on some stupid money making scam that will end up not being any benefit to you. If you must spend time and money on some sort of school, then please find a reputable school that will teach you cooking, cleaning, etc as these skills most Dom's will not be willing to teach you but will expect you to do. Or even better go to school get a degree so you can get a well paying job as this too would add value to you in a Dom's eye after all a sub that earns 100k+ a year is far more valuable then a sub that stays in the house all day needing the dom to provide all support for the sub. Heck right now im planning on paying to send my current slave to college so that in the future she can provide further resources for us to play with. It really just boils down to sex being a very small part of a D/s relationship, lets face it as much as we'd like to think it no one feels like having sex 24/7 (Yea yea i know there are some that will claim otherwise but your in denial :P),
