I notice that after 9:00am EST that there begins to be a rise in the number of woman on this and other BDSM sites.

Is this because the kids are at school and/or hubby is at work and now the mice can play?

It just seems that there are a lot of us out there, me included, that have an interest in this life style but who can't play with their own partner and visit sites when they can.

Sad but true for many of us, and yes, I know that this is not the way a relationship is suppose to be.

I'd like to hear back for anyone on my observation and especially from those who are in this type of situation.

really now ...never noticed that yet then again what about the rise of men on this site after 9a est? don't want to be gender sexist and leave that observation out.

says who? not every relationship has to follow the same set of BDSM guidelines. i'm in a ldr with Daddy and our D/s relationship is defined by how we wanted it to be. just like the way you define yours to what you want it to be.

I hate to break it to you, but firstly, most mothers and wives I know, are at work by 9am.

Secondly, any rise in the numbers of female profiles, does not necessarily mean a rise in female members.

Thirdly, any consequent rise of male members may thus be ill judged.

With the male to female ratio in BDSM anyway, I do not think that the amount of females on a site at any one time is an indication of anything, other than it is in a males favour.
 
Are you saying you come to a site like this to cheat?  Or is your partner aware of what you are doing?
Not making a judgement call - but trying to decipher what you meant.
 
As for how a relationship has to be, that can only be defined by the people within the relationship itself.  Each one is individual or do you expect all relationships to be the same?
Waiting in anticipation for a possible response.

Just what I needed this early in the morning - an 80's flashback.  Thanks to you, I've now got that tune stuck in my head.  Well, at least it pushed Safety Dance outta my head.

Seriously:  have the Mods, or anyone for that matter, ever done a survey of CM message board users?  I would be interested to know what the various breakdowns are (males, females, transgendered, male doms, male subs, female doms, female subs, switches, etc).  Breakdowns of other stats would be interesting too (age groups, education level, etc.)

I just opened the parameters up & only put one criteria... male or female

females.. 3 pages & some change.... approx 75 to 80 online now

males... almost 8 pages... approximately 200 online now

my own curiosity would be how so many posters post from work if they consistently post after 9 am and other various times through the day, or is the vast majority supported by a significant other, or simply how so they support themselves?  Why they are here or what their motivations are are of much less interest to me.

That sounds about right if you are talking about west coast time. It corresponds with the time I leave for work and take beth out of her cage to begin her daily tasks.

I have been a homemaker for a large majority of my married life, (24 years) although my kids are grown now, i would indeed have some free time after the house work was done and so forth...As for the, "while the cats away the mouse will play" thing, well that has never applied to me. My husband is a great guy, and i never did feel like i had to wait for him to leave, for me to have "fun".

I'm normally on during those hours because it helps me wake up. 
By evening I am either to tired or hurting to much to sit at my pc.
Not hiding from anyone (but I am careful of reading the forums after the grandson gets up - I like the pic's, but not sure they are appropriate for a 5 year old).
