Those Gawd Dayum Wars - 5/17/2007 6:05:33 PM

Just from reading my homepage i found out the following:

1.  It is now thought that US Officers were responsible for the deaths of 3 US soliders, abandoned for 36 hours south of Bagdah, last year.

2.  The number of US military killed in Iraq alone (somehow they never give figures for Afganistan) now exceeds 3,000.  Seems to me the number stood at 2,000 the last time i turned around.

3.  The conduct of the war, it is now thought, is fueling the separatism and terrorism which we were supposedly there to cure.

4.  Bush just recently appointed a "war czar" and it's not entirely clear what his duties will be vis a vis the Secretary of Defense.  Maybe he was appointed just to give the Shrub "plausible denialability".

5.  If i didn't already, i now officially despise the Shrub and in 2008 will vote for any candidate willing to end the wars.

6.  Where are the protestors such as we had during Vietnam?  Will they only organise in the (inevitable) event that a draft is instituted?

This country s'times seems to being going to hell in a handbasket; gas now costs over $5/gallon in some parts of the country; wtf is the problem getting and refining oil??

[End Rant]

i am astounded that N/no O/one on site atm has a reaction to this; name one issue more important to this country (and others) which is equal to these wars.

"name one issue more important to this country (and others) which is equal to these wars. "

I'll field that one. How we got here. We got here by electing traitors. We elected traitors because of the strict control of information, and that comes back to the media.

Big money control over the media came about because they were publicly traded, you see the stock market isn't here for our benefit. It is here for 'theirs'. Playing the stock market for the common Man is like going to a huge poker game where most players have say $50 to play with, but there are a few players with millions who can buy any pot.

Some say our problems are because not enough people vote, but that is just plain wrong. The problem is that the wrong people are running. Not one of them is loyal to the People. I can think of two congressmen to be spared if we ever get them lined up on the wall to be shot. There was another, but they put him in prison.

If people did the homework and found out what these traitors are doing, the incumbents would be out on their ear every time. And if there was no viable other candidate, they would vote by not voting.

People give respect to the wrong people. Look at Bush, a Harvard graduate. Just what do they teach at Harvard ? How to dress ? Anyone with half a brain could see that Iraq was going to become the next VietNam. Yet they did it anyway, and HINT HINT, it was Bush's second term.

IMO NO President ever should have a second term. That seems to be when they do their dirty work. At this stage of the game I think the Dems could just about run a bowling ball and win. But Bush can't run so why should he care ?

See none of them really care anyway, all they care is keeping their job.

Then we have the religion crap. I hung up on my boss three times because he was so dense. Voted for Bush because Kerry is a baby killer. I've yet to see evidence that Kerry killed any babies. Well he did serve in Nam, so maybe he did, but look at Iraq. I bet there are some dead babies there. Of course the baby killers in Nam did it because there was a bomb strapped to the kid, they were going to die anyway. The babies in Iraq had no such bombs attached when ours went off killing them.

Our brave heroes up in planes pushing buttons and killing those cowards on the ground. They are potential suicide bombing cowards.

I think the MAIN problem is that people don't really see things how they are. Too many accept the pablum spewed forth by the media and government spokespeople. And really all Bush is is a spokesman. He is utterly controlled by the big money that put him there.

But then so is any President. Why didn't Carter send the Shah back to Iran ? Have a look at the campaign contributions. That is something that escalated the problem in the middle east. And not to mention that this all stated in 1948.

And now we can't get out. I hope there is a hell, I'll take mine as long as they get theirs. Their money and power is so vast that they will not see justice in this life.

The rich did not get rich by being nice.

So now it comes back to money. It ALL comes back to money.

I hope that was a satisfactory answer.

T
