I wrote collarme and asked why my pic was rejected even though there was no nudity or obscenity.

I was hugging my gorgeous black slave who was on his knees(he was only shown from the shoulder blades up) and I had my tongue and his sexy shaved head with his face not showing. What the hell is wrong with that?!

Sometimes I hate people.

The only reason I got was because it didn't fall into the collarme community standards. No specifics. How does a picture of a Mistress and her slave who aren't nude not fall into the community standards of a BDSM site? I swear the world is going retarded.

So I did a check to look for others pics thinking maybe mine was rejected for one of the following things
1- two people were in the picture
2-the tongue thing was sexually suggestive
3- It was a pic wherein I was not holding the camera.

So my search came up with this profile pic on collar me
http://www.collarme.com/bdsm/i/336845/u/MissMalevolent/ix/2/zoom.htm
(please note I am not picking on the the people in the picture, which is gorgeous,  just using it as an example)

This pic has 2 people, the sub is down by the Mistress' crotch--- way more suggestive than my tongue on my slave's skull, the pic doesnt look as if it was taken by the people in the picture, same as in my picture(which was self shot using my camera's timer) so what the hell is it--please don't tell me it's a racial thing. Does somebody on collarme not like the fact that I am a white Mistress with a black slave?????? Not only that but there are nude pics all over collarme so how does mine not fall into the standards?

I wrote collarme support to ask them for specifics and they basically said post it on a different site if you don't like it-and they couldn't give me a straight answer. Man I am so pissed today my blood is boiling. Has anyone else here ever had a similar problem?

If you would like to see the picture of me that was rejected write me and let me know I'll send a link.

You know that does just sound wrong.  I offten wonder how they draw the line.

But I do just have to ask maybe it was rejected due to the size of the photo? (That would be the only logical GOOD reason for them to not let you post it.)

Would love to see it.... to see why they think its is not acceptable.

Was this your primary photo and were both people faces visable?
If it is impossible to see his face, and so age cannot be verified, then that could be a reason.

Peace

Age can't be verified for nearly any 20something....and there are tons of pics of multiple people on this site.  It really sounds stupid and unfortunately since this site is free we put up with a lot for that "freedom" bah.

i had one turned down and was sent a message by the person who viewed it saying they thought i was too ugly (which i am not.. i've modeled for god's sake).. so.. i think since they let people volunteer to do that job, its more at their discretion what they approve.. its the luck of the draw who you get to view your pic.

I know - as it is neither your photo, nor mine does really verify our ages but it was just one offer of thought.  Unfortunately it often comes down to who is doing to verifying.  I had an image of my shoulder a year and a wing so back which was allowed, then removed a couple of months later.  When I have signed in today, there is a full front nude image of a female switch both times.

It really is just down to the luck of the draw I guess.

Peace

No explination. Just go with it, try to resubmit the picture later and hope another Mod gets it and approves it. I had one pic last year that was 'rejected' 4 times, then it got approved, I changed nothing, it violated no rules etc; it was just who received it to approve or reject.

On a free site you get what you pay for; pick your battles. I did mine an I left for over a year because of my 'battle' with over 300 people on this site, including mods; now, things are cool.

OK we used to have a pic up of us together and we did not take the pic but it was not professinal.  I have seen pics that were professional head shots posted here (btw, a professional head shot does belong to the person in the pic if they paid for it, so legally its cool, just saying ...).  Argent and I are not beautiful by any standards, we are 50+ and I am way overweight.  Ours was approved right away, 2 years ago.  I would love to see your picture.  I know we get what we pay for and I like CM in general, but I had a problem and was told by 2 mods to go tell someone else and when i told the people I was told to tell... poof not one bit of interest and this was somethign potentially illegal on CM.  So, sometimes no one cares and sometimes everyone cares overboard!  I have written to the service folks 3 different times 3 different problems and once got 1 very condescending reply about the problme I was having and the other times got toally ignored.  IMHO, if you volunteer to do a job, you need to do it.  But that's just me.  Good luck and please, don't let faceless people at the end of some line of electricity make you mad.   It's not worth it!
sending you a hug,
MsOpal

I'm not naming any specific moderators here, because the most visible ones do a bang-up job here.  However, it has been my experience over the years in many boards and community sites that some people lose their minds when they are given "Moderator Powers" and completely forget what the responsibility is that they have been given. Instead they become crazed with their own power and abuse it.

If you feel treated unfairly, the best thing to do is document the specific instances and the Moderator who did it and report it to a Mod that you know is respectable.  Now, I'm not saying question every little decision that you don't agree with.  But if you get a rejection because "you're ugly", come on....you know no legitimate Moderator would send you something like that with the Admin's approval.  (I hope!)  I think the Administration would want to know of a Mod abusing power in that respect.

So I did a check to look for others pics thinking maybe mine was rejected for one of the following things
1- two people were in the picture

I just had a pic accepted with 2 people in it.

2-the tongue thing was sexually suggestive

Nope, no tongue involved.

3- It was a pic wherein I was not holding the camera.

I wasn't holding the camera either. How can I if I was in it?

If you would like to see the picture of me that was rejected write me and let me know I'll send a link.

Sure...always like to see a happy couple.

I have had photos rejected because they had maybe a hint of bondage in them or soemthing sexual with someone else. They say those are not accepted either.

I too had a picture bounced, but I have no bones about it. Want it, mail me.

I suspect that there are more factors than people realize. This is not a private newsletter, it is a website, one that probably would like to remain free (monetarily) and not lose too much money.

There are a few banners, and they support the site. We do as well, but with the content we provide. The webmaster and moderators therefore have the goal of making this site as attractive as possible for new members. More hits means more money. Maybe they don't even break even, just get to chip in less. One thing of which I am pretty sure, they are archiving every post ever posted.

Anyone can view this, and alot of us who get political actually want people to view our views. Agree or disagree, pipe up. I think I do go off the deep end sometimes, but I think most of the points I make are valid. Others have posted about issues I know nothing about.

The personna of the website must be friendly, remember, even your profile must be approved. The reason for that is that this site must maintain a positive image. It is searchable. Anybody can read, but you need to be a member to post. There is a reason for that.

If it were my site I can't really say I wouldn't do the same.

Basically you are not just talking to the members here, you are talking to the world. Same with the profile.

People have to learn to think objectively. If you are at odds with another for any reason, why ? You know your point of view, but do you know theirs ?

There is no CM bill of rights, and the rules are very strict here, I know that. If and when I ever choose to live outside of them, I shall do so. Until then I endevor to abide by the rules of this site. I do tread on some thin ice sometimes, but they haven't called me on anything for a while. So I guess I learnt.

So just get another picture, that's what I am going to do. Gotta figure out how to work that camera now.

So if they call you on something, or reject your picture, to be sarcastic, ask for your money back. I am here for alot more than the meat market, there are some very intelligent people here. These fora are something I like. I like to hear opinions from normal people instead of the media. I like to discuss things that I would not ever bring up with my family or most of my chosen family.

If that's not worth something to you, I don't know what to tellya.

T
