Well, I know that there are pageants for ponygirls, and petshows for puppies, but does anyone know of any owner's clubs for living dolls?
Rather proud of mine, and somewhere to show her off would be rather fun, and you can only do that so much without others who understand that particular fetish. I keep thinking how fun it'd be to take her to an ABJD convention (same level of interest, just coming from the other direction)

I've never heard of "living doll." Would you mind explaining it just a little bit, please? Thanks

See, this is where I don't agree with the "extremes" part. I like the concept of "doll"; i.e. someone you dress up to be beautiful, play with, have fun with, etc. But people that turn themselves -or their concubines- into actual dolls... why don't you get a real doll? Isn't the whole point that you are with another human being?

Anyway, not that I mean to judge, and I'm perfectly find with you doing what you like. It's just that the "community" seems to take things a bit too far. Probably not contributing anything here, but I suppose this rant is best for a place where no one will see it

Well, it's a start, though my doll 's not quite that reliant on "alteration".
If I end launching a site, I'll definately banner exchange with them.
Any others?

Oh and Griswold? yes, they are. they're like freaky foot-high plastic monsters. Like the end result from some tales from the crypt where a cheating boyfriend has been shrunk down and made an immobile fetish (old meaning)... honestly, I get scared of these things.

OK I have a very silly question.  I did the link and read everything.  Is it at all dangerous to be totally covered in latex for hours at a time - or all day if you are attending a converntion?  Seriously, can your skin breathe the way it needs to?  What safety precautions are taken?  Is part of the purpose "dehumanization"?

thanks.

Skin doesn't "breathe" so that's a non issue.  The main danger is dehydration from perspiration.  Keep yourself hydrated and you should be fine.

The skin does breath; you need air and need to be able to relase sweat. Ys keeping dehydrated should help but when you let all that sweet stay on you for a long peroid of time your skin will start to chaff. Also latex worn for long peroids of time will also start ot cause skin problems. Not trying ot discourage any one from dressing up as a living doll just answering the question and letting you know about the information that I know. (I know whatI am talking about to as I work in the medical field.)

What is the mechanism for skin "breathing?"  Perspiration takes place just fine when the skin is covered.

Wearing latex for a day at a convention, as the person I replied to specifically asked about, won't present any complications.  Wearing it for a week or longer, that's a different story.

In what capacity?

This medical professional will not get into the issue of skin breathing....however....think about this....

Models wear paint, latex and otherwise, for hours and hour on their body for photo shoots and various other events.....

When a body is painted completely. You have to leave an area at the small of the back exposed.

Latex suits move air up and down the body in pockets, so you do not have to worry about the skin suffocating.

I have worn full suits with hoods for extremely long periods of time.

There is a group trying to get a rubberdoll con going in minnesota. However I think putting on .. just a general living doll con of all types would be more productive.
