this slave has recently had severe problems with her knees and has told her Master, so far He has been very understanding, but here is her fear.......she can not kneel right now, and fears if she tells Master this that He will be very upset and she even feels less of a slave now that this is happening to her. this slave went for an mri on her knees to see what is happening and is nervously awaiting the results.

does it make this slave less of a slave because she can't kneel? what would You do if a slave/sub told You that she/he couldn't kneel for awhile? what kinds of things would You say to show them they are still loved, cherished and wanted as a slave/submissive?

any advise, comments and feedback are greatly appreciated and thank You in advance.

Please excuse me for posting here as I am not a Master.
Due to old volleyball injuries I have never been able to kneel. This is something that is beyond your control, the desire to serve is still there.
To solve this problem for me I made a bench during a woodworking class. It's a simple, backless bench with some design work on the legs. We painted it and I sewed a pillow (is that the right word?) to go on top. It works well for us and I do not feel like I serving him any less (I am not a slave so I can't speak for that, but I do not believe that you will be viewed as any less of a slave).

There is also a similar thread, even though it is not exactly the same it may give you some good advice.

I also can't kneel for more that a few minutes at a time. I would think any good dom would take an injury into consideration.

In your profile you say such great things about your Master, I can't believe that he would be upset at your physically being unable to kneel. I think this is more about your insecurities than his displeasure.

Okay time to de-lurk and get flamed perhaps LOL.

The ability to kneel or not kneel does not make one a sub/slave. It is a wonderful ritual, one that is enjoied by both parties, but it does not make one anymore or any less slave sub like. If a Owner is using kneeling as a scale to measure the worth of property, then perhaps he needs a new scale

With that said here are some alternatives if you just have to have the ritual:

A large floor pillow in which you sit on your butt or hip (with legs tucked to your side )upon whenever kneeling is required

A kneeling bench with a padded pillow works as well.

For that matter one could come up with a standing position that is represenative of the kneel postion, that is know only to the Owner and the slave. Something like heart hand tucked up and behind the back, shoulders back.

Anyway back to your regularly scheduled discussion

I am not a Master, but I thought I'd slip in a reply. I, too, can only kneel for a few minutes at a time, sometimes a bit longer, but as soon as it becomes painful or difficult, I just slip over to rest on my hip with my legs still tucked under me. And yes, a pillow or folded blanket or something is definitely a big help. I never had any objections to doing that from any Dom.

kneeling is the traditional physical manifestion of your submission... THe word kneel issued as a command is like instant headspace for both Master and slave.. However, there are other simple words that can be as powerful in the D/s dynamic.. One that comes to mind is for me is Present... for me the image that springs to mind is a slave collar on leash attached head bowed.. kneeling or not... hands extended forward with the loop of the leash in the the palms ... held up and out to Master... There are many ways you can form rituals that mean as much if not more to you as a D/s couple.. and how special is it that you and he develop those that mean something to you .. together.. so much more personal investment and so much more relevant to each of you..

If your Master is as understandind as you say he is he probably doesn't have a problem with it, you on the other hand seem to. Perhaps you can think of other things you can do that will take the place of kneeling and fill this need. Have you discussed this with him to see what might be satisfactory for the both of you?...Mike

you say he is being very understanding, as he should be. It is likely just a worry in your head, that likely shouldn't be. I am sure he is more concerned with your physical well being.

First off, I believe that a slave has a duty to inform their dominant should they be having medical issues of any sort.

To answer your questions, no. You are not less slave because you are unable to kneel for the time being. Slave resides in the heart...not in the knees.

~excuse My Post Masters in Your area~
I have a slave whom is wheelchair bound.
he can neither kneel nor do many things
a normally healthy slave could do but
when I come into his presance he bends
at his waist as low as he can in his chair
and reaches out his hands in a bowing
form with his head between them and
begs to touch My legs in subjudication
in which I stand in front of him and give
him such simply. That I have always accepted
in place of a normal kneeling and kissing
of My feet of a slave. Im sure there are
many other ways that your Master can find
that He to accepts in place of the kneeling.
In the places where you can no longer kneel
to Him how about bring a chair there and sit
on it and bow down in this fashion or simply
bend over from the waist at His left side and
touch with His permission His lower leg or
foot in suplication. This is just sum suggestions. JMO

this slave thanks each and every O/one of Y/you for Y/your posts and suggestions.....Master has told her she need not kneel and that she is very much a slave, and that she pleases Him to the best of her abilities, which is what counts.

this slave has told Master about what is happening with her knees, and her general health because she feels to hide such is wrong and He is NOT a mind reader.

Master has told her that if it bothers her that much to kneel she need not do it, and that He will find other ways for her to sit by His left hand. He has told her that she can sit on her hip with her knees tucked under her and she told Him that she would like to do such but after awhile she would have to stretch her legs out and He has accepted that.

again thank Y/you A/all for Y/your advise and help in regards to this matter.
